Interested In Being Vegan?

Hi guys. I started a new tumblr blog where I’ll be writing about living vegan and the vegan lifestyle. I didn’t start posting yet but plan on putting up my first posts this weekend.

I’d appreciate it if you would consider following the blog and welcome any suggestions and guest posts. I will be donating 100% of any money that the blog might generate to The Humane Society.

You can find the blog here: http://www.VeganAlive.com

Thanks for reading this and a big thank you if you reblog it and a bigger thank you if you choose to follow the blog!

I think we’re going to the moon because it’s in the nature of the human being to face challenges. It’s by the nature of his deep inner soul… we’re required to do these things just as salmon swim upstream.

Writing is not necessarily something to be ashamed of, but do it in private and wash your hands afterwards.

What is your motivation?

What is your motivation?

The moment all your outer seeking stops, the moment you have understood the futility of desire, the futility of ambition… In that state of non-ambitiousness, desirelessness, truth is revealed.
Knowing that all this is an illusion, one becomes free from desire, pure receptivity and at peace, as if nothing existed.
Astavakra Gita - From:  Quotes To Enrich Life & Spirit by Anthony Morganti
If a desire can be got rid of by satisfying it, there will be no harm in satisfying such a desire. But desires generally are not eradicated by satisfaction. Trying to root them out that way is like trying to quench a fire by pouring inflammable spirits on it. At the same time, the proper remedy is not forcible suppression, since such repression is bound to react sooner or later into a forceful surging up of desires with undesirable consequences. The proper way to get rid of a desire is to find out `Who gets the desire? What is its source?’ When this is found, the desire is rooted out and it will never again emerge or grow.
Ramana Maharshi - From:  Quotes To Enrich Life & Spirit by Anthony Morganti
Desire never crosses the path of virtuous and wakeful men.
The intellect of most persons is harnessed by innumerable wants. Such a life is, from the spiritual point of view the lowest type of human existence. The highest type of human existence is free from all wants; and it is characterised by sufficiency or contentment.
Most of us desire some kind of power; it may be over the son, or the wife or the husband; or, it may be over a group of people; or it may be in the name of an ideal or in the name of a country. This power, this desire to have power over others, is always operating - even over a servant, to order him about, to get angry with him, to push him around. Does not this desire for power spring from a sense of loneliness?
Jiddu Krishnamurti - From:  Quotes To Enrich Life & Spirit by Anthony Morganti
It is always death that comes before your desires are fulfilled. Even if you live for a thousand years your desires are not going to be fulfilled.
Just by being aware, thoughts start disappearing. There is no need to fight. Your awareness is enough to destroy them. And when the mind is empty, the temple is ready. And inside the temple the only god worth placing is silence. So those three words you have to remember: relaxation, thoughtlessness, silence. And if these three words are no more words to you but become experiences, your life will be transformed.
